The battery is one of the components of a vehicle that is most likely to suffer major malfunctions or other problems during the winter month. These months can be extremely draining on the battery due to cold temperatures breaking down the chemicals in the battery that stores the electricity. Testing the battery will reveal whether it sufficiently holds a charge. If the battery is weakening in its ability to hold an electrical charge, replacing it may be necessary to avoid being stranded or otherwise imprisoned.
